Crafting Plastics is an award-winning studio working at the intersection of design and science, developing oil-free, compostable solutions that advance the future of biopolymer materials. In 2022 Crafting Plastics was recognized by Dezeen as one of the world’s top emerging studios, underscoring Crafting Plastic’s pioneering role in circular design and sustainable material innovation.
I have collaborated with Crafting Plastics Studio on a long-term basis to redefine their communication strategy. As a first milestone, the studio required a new website ahead of their participation in Miami Design Week 2024. While the visual design was developed by Studio Vedet in Milan, I was responsible for creating the site structure (sitemap, wireframes), writing the content, and building the site.
In addition to the website, I led the development of a comprehensive communication strategy across various channels, created social media content, and produced promotional and event materials—primarily for a key collaborative project between Crafting Plastics and Lexus.
Based on user feedback, the new website and e-shop delivered a significantly improved user journey compared to the previous version. I simplified the brand narrative and enhanced the UX to make the complex bioplastics industry more accessible and easier to understand.
As part of the broader communication strategy, my goal was to establish a consistent tone of voice and clear brand narrative across various channels, using engaging storytelling and curated imagery to deliver a cohesive and compelling message.
